The Graduate Program in Earth & Space Science (ESS) is a multidisciplinary research program associated with the Department of Earth & Space Science & Engineering (ESSE) and the Centre for Research in Earth and Space Science (CRESS). The graduate program provides postgraduate instruction and research experience for graduate students working towards either MSc or PhD degrees. Research is carried out under the supervision of ESS faculty members, who are drawn from a number of science departments within York University or Adjunct Faculty Members appointed to the Graduate Program.

- There will be three intakes for the 2020–2021 Academic Year in the Earth & Space Science Graduate Program.
– the first application deadline is March 15th, 2021, for entry beginning in Fall (September 2021).
– the second application deadline is August 15th, 2021, for entry beginning in Winter (January 2022).
– the third application deadline is November 15th, 2021, for entry beginning in Summer (May 2022).
